Keith Budge, Headmaster at Bedales Schools, says pupils should be educated to ‘appreciate the beautiful’ so they can also recognise the opposite.
Mr Budge believe teachers need to become politically engaged, and students should be encouraged to do the same in light of recent political developments.
Going on he explains “we must continue with our students to seek out and relish beauty from as many different perspectives as possible (we must give our students many stars by which to navigate this world), and so become increasingly sensitised to its obverse.”

First-born children have better thinking skills, study says
Eldest siblings score higher in IQ tests than younger brothers and sisters because they get more mental stimulation from parents.
The study observed nearly 5,000 children from pre-birth to age 14, with children assessed every two years and while the study found that parents give all their children the same levels of emotional support, the first-born generally received more help with tasks that develop thinking skills.
