City of London School is an independent school based in London for boys aged 10-18. The school site is situated by the Thames and has over 20 acres of sports pitches. It was established in 1834 and moved to its present site in 1986.  

City of London School aims to welcome talented boys from a diversity of backgrounds into a tolerant, harmonious community in which they achieve the highest academic standards, make full use of their potential and develop towards responsible adulthood. The school is committed to preparing "respectful, optimistic and inquisitive pupils for the rapidly changing demands of the twenty-first century." The curriculum is broad with a large number of subjects available at both GCSE and A Level. In addition, boys can take extra qualificaitons in ICT, cyber security and Securities and Investment. 

The main sports available at cricket, basketball, football and water polo. There are excellent on-site facilities for indoor sports, including a 25 metre swimming pool and the school has its own playing fields in nearby Grove Park. There is an outstanding co-curriular programme which includes Sport, music, drama, the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme and CCF, community service and charity fund-raising,

City of London School  is academically selective and over 90% of leavers go to their first or second choice Russell Group University. About one fifth of the year gain places at Oxbridge each year, a dozen to Medical School, and about a third go on to the top London universities (King’s, UCL, Imperial, Queen Mary, LSE).
