Emanuel School

Battersea Rise, London, SW11 1HS, United Kingdom
Emanuel School has a long history, having been founded originally in Westminster in 1736. Unusually it was originally a school for both boys and girls, and although it has had a period as a boys' only school, it is now fully co-education. The school occupies a large campus near Clapham Junction, opening onto the common. Emanual is not an academic hot-house but a friendly, all-round school offering an excellent education. Most A Level students also take an EPQ alongside their chosen subjects. Maths, History, Economics and Politics are all very popular.

Sport is very big at Emanuel, especially cricket (for boys and girls) and rugby. Surprisingly, rowing is also really popular and the school has a boathouse in Barnes. Drama and music are also very strong with lots of productions held each year.

Emanuel is not a flashy school, but one which offers a down-to-earth, fun and relaxed environment within which young people are encouraged to explore their interests and fulfil their potential.
