Felsted School - Essex
Felsted is a popular co-educational boarding and day school which offers both A levels and the IB in the 6th form so attracting a diverse international community of students and characterised by its global outlook. The school was founded in 1564, but is a progressive and forward-thinking school. It is based on a rural 80-acre village campus in the north of Essex, approximately an hour from London. There is a wide range of extra-curricular options on offer, and sport is traditionally very strong at Felsted.
The school comprises of a mixture of traditional and modern buildings and overall the facilities are very good and include a Wellness Centre and a new 6th form centre catering for the 260 students in Years 12 and 13. 6th form class sizes are around 10 students and there is plenty of extra support available when necessary.
As the headmaster states, Felsted is a school “where children are happy and have their abilities discovered and fostered”.
